The Origins of the Wind Controller

I did profound research on the origins of the wind controller (also referred to as wind synth, wind synthesizer, breath controller or electronic wind instrument). I carefully collected primary sources like brochures, manuals, patents, schematics and other archival material on early ideas and experiments.

The compilation of these sources not only became the topic of my master thesis in musicology, but I also put together two research posters and finally published a monograph on the topic.

Unfortunately, all of the mentioned publications (see below) are available in German only for now. New publications on the topic will be added to this post.
